Attorneys Fail to Claim
Debenture Checks

AIM completed its redemption of all outstanding debentures in May 2007. Checks were mailed to record owners at their last known address. Alabama attorneys bought 3097 debentures to found and support AIM from July 1988 through May 2000. The sale of debentures was discontinued in May 2000, when AIM’s capital base was strong enough to make further capital contributions unnecessary. There are still approximately 100 attorneys who have not cashed their checks or whose checks have been returned to AIM in the mail. A current list of debentures, by number, whose redemption proceeds are still held in escrow appear on AIM’s website: www.AttysInsMut.com/Debentures/List.html.
