Historic Announcement: AIM is now a
Mutual Risk Retention Group

Effective August 11, 2010, AIM is now a mutual risk retention group. Its members participating in a special meeting on June 28, 2010, overwhelmingly (90%) authorized the change for AIM to redomesticate to the District of Columbia as a mutual risk retention group. The proposal was supported by AIM's entire Board of Directors. AIM previously had been an Alabama mutual insurer. AIM's District of Columbia incorporation and certificate of authority became effective August 11, 2010. Its new name is: Attorneys Insurance Mutual of the South, Inc., Risk Retention Group. 

Operations continue from AIM's corporate office located in the greater Birmingham, Alabama, area. Insureds will receive a notice and an endorsement to their policies reflecting this positive change. AIM will continue to provide the personal and high quality service that its insureds have come to expect.
